It’s all hands on deck at the studio this week , I’m busy getting the final preparations done for Origin.
Thankfully I am doing Part Two this year (STAND 05)
I needed an extra few days to get everything done in time…
I put on the last glaze firing Sunday night, but Monday morning I came to work and realised much to my horror that my old trusted kiln had NOT switched itself on at midnight…eeeek!

I couldn’t find anything wrong with it, so I reset the controller and fired during monday night instead- and apart from creating tropical temperatures in the studio on Tuesday -all was well.
I’ve just cracked the kiln open this morning , all the work is OK and I’m a happy potter!
Despite the minor setback I’m more or less ready to go – one more tranfer firing to go on tonight-then tommorrow the pleasure of counting and packing all the work into boxes , making sure its safely bubblewrapped and labelled.
Have done a bit of running around Bristol in the rain , buying essential items such as stickytape-pricelabes -and paint to freshen up the kitchen unit I’m using as display- ooh its looking so lovely!
Thank you Anton for a very nice paint job and for offering to help out next week.
Also sending a BIG thank you to ‘the geeky brother’ in Denmark, without who I wouldn’t have this blog…
(He really isn’t that geeky-just incredibly creative with computer related issues and all things Japanese)
I also have no idea what I would do without ‘the boyfriend’ -who is taking on the very important job of driving me and all the stock , shelves , bits & bobs & boxes to Origin on Monday morning…thank you!
Here’s a few images from the studio -and then I better get on with some work…
